Creative advertising and design solutions

Dutch artist Henk Hofstra created this amazing project in 2007. Blue Road is 1000 meters long and 8 meters wide. It was created to form an urban river and recreate the path of a waterway that used to be where the road currently runs. Drachten (in the north of the Netherlands) had a canal there once, but in the 60′s it was an old smelly place, and so they decided to build a road instead. 40 years later, the town had enough of the cars and wanted the canal back.
